Organ Concert for Reformation and All Saints

Trinity's first sacred music concert this year will feature the music of Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) and some contemporary organists such as John Leavitt and Paul Manz in some of the great music for the festivals of Reformation and All Saints Day. Known primarily for his Canon in D, Pachelbel was a church musician who also composed music for choir and organ. This program will feature an arrangement of the Canon in D for Alto Recorder and some of Pachelbel's organ music performed by Dr. Martin Dicke. The organ music will include the majestic Prelude in D Minor, several Toccatas, and his arrangements of some of the great and enduring Lutheran hymns. The children's program will be offered on Friday, October 29 at 4:00 pm.
