Paddle for Progress RI is an exciting inaugural fundraising event founded by a mother-daughter team fighting breast cancer. The event is dedicated to bringing visibility to the precision medicine available at the Lifespan Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Center and raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research in Rhode Island. 100% of the proceeds will fund breast oncology research in RI. With the support of The Kayak Centre and the North Kingstown Harbormaster a fun 2-mile paddle is planned for Wickford Harbor. It will be a memorable day of paddling, fun, and community on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Wilson Park. Rain date will be Sunday, September 24, 2023. Among others, Dr. Theresa Graves and Dr. Graff of the Lifespan Breast Cancer Center will join in their kayaks. Small watercraft of all types: kayaks, SUPs, pedalboards, canoes, and row boats are invited to participate. It's a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected with breast cancer. Together, let’s make a splash in the fight against breast cancer right here in Rhode Island!
