Empowering men & women to drive workplace diversity & inclusivity

Women account for more than 50% of Queensland’s population and yet, despite many developments for women in the workforce, we have a long way to go before gender equality is reached.

Australian women still earn 20% less than their male counterparts, hold only 15% of all CEO equivalent positions, and half have experienced workplace discrimination relating to pregnancy or parental leave.

Following the government’s drive to increase female participation and leadership across the state, this conference will provide a forum for current and aspiring public sector leaders - both female and male - to share their journeys, build support networks and develop their personal and professional skillsets.

This conference will focus on:
- Enhancing personal and professional skillsets
- Developing opportunities for female indigenous, youth and rural leadership
- Leading organisational growth and change
- Seeking out new opportunities and overcoming barriers to career progression
- Working alongside men to champion workplace equality
