Samba Queen

Samba Fogo Presents 9th Annual Samba Queen Contest:
- Saturday, February 3rd at Pierpont Place.
- Doors open at 8:00 p.m. with live Brazilian music.
- Dance competition begins at 9:00 p.m..

The Samba Queen Contest is no ordinary event.

Guests will enjoy dancing to live music at Samba Queen - it's a lively, energetic night on the town, supporting Salt Lake's art community. Dancers entertain the crowd as they compete for the title of 2018 Rainha Do Samba (Queen Of Samba) adorned in traditional Brazilian Carnaval costumes of bright colors, feathers, sparkling bikinis and sky-high heels. Each contestant gets a chance to perform a two-minute solo with a live Brazilian drum line, and local celebrity judges and audience voting determine the winner!

Tickets to the Samba Queen Contest are $20 in advance or $25 at the door the night of the event. VIP tables are available for $200. VIP tables seat four and come with cocktail service to your table, a great view of the stage, and VIP treatment.

Cash Bar hosted by Pierpont Place.

Pierpont Place is located at 163 W. Pierpont Ave. The event is open to ages 16+ and there will be a cash bar for ages 21+.
