Stand Up For Something - Stand Up For Love

Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir (Good Noise) is back to live Spring concerts for the first time since 2019 and the choir, the musicians of the Good Noise Gospel Band, and Artistic and Executive Director, Gail Suderman, are geared up for a dynamic in-person wrap up to their performance season. "Stand Up For Something - Stand Up For Love" will hit the stage on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 with 3 pm and 8 pm concerts at the historic downtown Christ Church Cathedral. (Burrard and Georgia, Vancouver)

With gospel music as the choir's specialty, Good Noise is well-known for merging the religious and secular sensibilities. For "Stand Up For Something - Stand Up For Love", music by well known gospel artists Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans and Bryan Popin will be featured, along with music by Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Marley, Johnny Reid, John Legend, Common and Andra Day. With the message of Springsteen's "The Rising" helping to understand the challenges of the pandemic experience, or Sting's "Fragile" reminding of the human pain connected to the violence and strife of war, to an anthem-like commitment in Johnny Reid's "Today I'm Gonna Try and Change the World", the concerts will be musical journey that will sing the listener through life's difficulties to a place of jumping on the "Love Train" and carrying on with "One Love" and with hope.
