The London Piano Trio performs music by three emblematic figures of the German Romantic sound – one of Beethoven's early trios, Mendelssohn's last chamber work and Brahms' second trio.

Romanticism exerted a potent force in the course of culture from the end of the 18th century to the early 20th Century. The London Piano Trio follows the history of a period of such revolutionary weight with a programme featuring three emblematic figures of the German Romantic sound – one of Beethoven's early trios, Mendelssohn's last chamber work and Brahms' second trio that endured two years of intense creativity.
