It was a shame that we had to push back the Small Black dates, but we couldn’t have been happier with the Disasteradio/Kite/Wanderlust fest at Yugong Yishan on July 19th….can’t think of a better way to sweat away a summer night! Well…..except, maybe, for what we have planned for August at Yugong Yishan…you ready…drum roll……Sweet Summer Sweat Fest II featuring Other Lives, PS I Love You, Daniel Hart, Ben Houge, Battle Cattle and Pairs!

If you haven’t heard Other Lives, you need to check them out…they are playing Summer Sonic this year and just finished to massive tours with Bon Iver and Radiohead, not to mention the critically acclaimed release of their sophomore album.

Other Lives - Other Lives are a band that makes indie rock music, epic. They jumped into the national conscience after their lead track off their debut album was featured on multiple tv shows, from Grey’s Anatomy to Ugly Betty. In 2011 they released their sophomore album, a 40 minute masterpiece that BBC called “the most uniquely sublime, meticulous and heroic 40 minutes of 2011” and made Mojo magazine gush that they are “the next must-have pastoral American sensation”.
