IMPROV with Up The Antics!

An absolute beginners’ session for those who want to see what it’s all about but were afraid to ask, who want to see if it will improve their performance skills (it will) or for those who want to see if it still gives them Drama Degree flashbacks! (ahem, Louise Leigh)

The ladies from Up The Antics will be bringing those long-form funnies to you with their usual energy and aplomb.

Giving a taster session on the wonderful world of improv, where worlds can be made and shattered with a one word suggestion.

With 3 Edinburgh fringe shows, performances at the Bristol Improv Theatre, headlining Parent’s basement and regular appearances on BBC Radio, the antics are making a big ‘ole name for themselves.

Meet like-minded women with a passion for comedy, learn how to generate material through improvised comedy, share scripts, sets, jokes and ideas from comedians currently performing on the circuit, and find support as you take those next steps in the world of comedy.

Funny Women knows that comedy can be scary, so this night provides a platform for women to get on stage and perform comedy for the first time. Even if you’re already a regular on the circuit, Time of the Month is a great night to try out new material in front of a warm and supportive audience. And the Alchemy 198 audience is SUPER SUPPORTIVE!
