I am a 60 year old student artist! I have begun my second career now I am retired. I am visiting Bilboa 13 - 17 August & would like to meet like minded people. My main interest is in fiber/ textile art, but most modern art & 19th century Spanish art interests me, as well as architecture & photography. I love Basque food & spent a month in the Navarre last year. I speak a little Spanish.

Hola Diana, happy to find your posting on here, even if it’s already late to meet in Bilbao; have you left already?
I’m new here myself and I find Bilbao somewhat formidable socially. I hope you’re enjoying your new found freedom to explore your creative instincts. For one thing, the Bellas Artes museum offers up some fine examples of 19th century Spanish painting, and I’ve become a member there myself. If you’re still in town perhaps you will have time for a chat at their very fine cafe location?Richard Spencer
