On June 10th, join Dublin-born Internationally acclaimed violinist Gregory Harrington as he performs an intimate evening of Irish and crossover classics with his string group at the United Irish Cultural Center. Born in Dublin and based in New York City, he is redefining the classical virtuoso for the 21st century. His unique ability to transform popular jazz, rock and pop music into brand new violin concert pieces has enthralled audiences around the world and has taken him everywhere from Carnegie Hall to the Royal Festival Hall, performing for Presidents and the UN, for the NFL and the NBA and opening the New York St. Patrick's Day Parade Live on NBC. As noted by critics, Mr. Harrington juxtaposes Bach and Bob Dylan, Beethoven and Leonard Cohen, Radiohead and Johnny Cash to staggering effect.

This program journeys through his arrangements of Irish and Irish American ballads "Shenandoah" and "The Parting Glass" to the iconic hits of Glen Hansard's "Falling Slowly" and U2's "With or with You", to the glorious sounds of Andrea Bocelli's "Time to Say Goodbye" and Puccini's "O mio babbino Caro", to Hendrix "Purple Haze", Django Reinhardt "Minor Swing" and many in between.

Don't miss the opportunity to catch him in this intimate setting of the United Irish Cultural Center!
