Come Celebrate the 20th ANNUAL Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing Celebration
• Annual Event on Mississippi Greenway that tells the often untold & unknown stories of African Americans in St. Louis- not only the injustices they endured but also their accomplishments & triumphs
• Takes places at Missouri’s first nationally recognized Underground Railroad site—Mississippi Greenway (Riverfront Trail) in St. Louis
• Saturday October 1, noon to 5 free

• FREE Live Music all day, food and drink for purchase, children’s games, historical reenactments & more!
• This year’s reenactments will be drawn from the past twenty years:
o The Unfair Fair- racism at the St. Louis World’s Fair
o Buffalo Soldiers and Bicycles-the incredible journal from Montana to St. Louis
o Great Jubilation- how the end of slavery was celebrated
o Beginnings of a Brave New World- the beginnings of Black cultural institutions
