NIGHT FOR THE MUSEUM GALA, 1940's STYLE

It's time to get ready for the party of the year! The Museum Broken Arrow is hosting another gala, this year with a 1940s theme. Save the date, Friday, September 22 and prepare for a real treat as the "Sounds of Music" big band will thrill guests with tunes of the 1940s by artists like Tommy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and others. But that's not all! The Oklahoma Swing Syndicate will show off their skill and "moves" of the era. Guests can pick up a few moves of their own! Local vocalist Maggie Bond will also entertain with hits of the era. The ballroom at Stoney Creek Hotel is the setting, and guests are encouraged to don the clothing of the era. If you have ever wondered what you would look like in a zoot suit, pencil dress, satin gown, or WASP jumpsuit, this is your chance to find out. Get the idea? It's a chance to dress in military garb, go glam...or just wear cocktail attire. Plus...Broken Arrow's best restaurants will be sharing menu samplings, and a cash bar will be open. (This is a 21+ event.)
A "Who's Who of Broken Arrow" will be in attendance, and tables are available for business or individual sponsorships. This is a great evening to treat your company workers or bring your friends. Individual tickets are also available. The honorees of the evening will be Dr. Richard and Linda Polk, longtime community leaders who have given their talents to help make The Museum Broken Arrow what it is today. Every effort has gone into making this a magical evening for museum fans, and all of the net proceeds will go into the annual operating budget of the museum.
