How are women treated in Azerbaijan society?

I read that in Azerbaijan, women are most respected for their role as mothers and that women in rural areas usually control domestic and ritual life.

I was wondering, what is the attitude towards women in modern Azerbaijan? Is it acceptable for women to work? Are there some rules of how women should behave?

  the rules you're talking about existed centuries ago in Ancient Azerbaijan ...nowadays everyone has got equal rights...it is a modern democratic society

  Every women treated equally as man. And we have huge number of woman's who are working together with mens.
