M father used to make fried potato pancakes. He always grated extra potatoes and after we ate all the fried pancakes we could eat, he put the leftover potato mixture into a deep skillet and baked it in the oven. The result was a 5 or 6 cm thick, round "giant potato pancake" that he called "poroca" or "porocza" (I'm not sure I'm spelling this right). Has anyone heard of this dish? I'm also looking for another recipe he made from mashed lima beans and onions, the name was something like "torba bab". Thank you for any help!
