Brain development occurs most rapidly between the ages of 0 - 6 years and musical training during this period creates an advantage that stays with them throughout their lives. Not only can Violin be taught to children as young as 2 years in a fun and joyous way, the finesse required to play the Violin creates the maximum positive benefits for brain development.

We are currently offering individual and small group Suzuki Violin Lessons for children from 2 years. The Suzuki method is a specialized and effective technique used to teach young children with loving encouragement and repetition.

More than fifty years ago, Japanese violinist Shinichi Suzuki realized the implications of the fact that children the world over learn to speak their native language with ease. He began to apply the basic principles of language acquisition to the learning of music, and called his method the mother-tongue approach. The ideas of parental involvement, loving encouragement, and repetition are some of the special features of the Suzuki approach.

Aine's love for music and violin started at the age of 4 when her parents encouraged her to start taking Suzuki violin lessons in Cork, Ireland. She has now been a specialized Suzuki violin teacher for 15 years in London, Birmingham and Cork.
