Christmas in Blue Island

Christmas in Blue Island! A day of family fun in beautiful Blue Island! The Blue Island Public Library will be showing Christmas movies downstairs from 1PM to 4PM. At the parking lot between Union and High Streets on Western, there will be a Kringle Mart, free rides for the little ones, a petting zoo, and Pony Rides for the kids from 2PM - 5PM. The Annual Light Parade kicks off at 5:30PM and goes from Prairie St to Grove St. Following the parade, continue to shop at the Kringle Mart until 9PM. Free carriage rides and hay rides will take you to the neighborhood to see some lights. Get your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Santa House. Visit uptown businesses at their open houses up and down Western. Take a shuttle to Olde Western for a cocktail and back up to finish the night. It's a wonderful, family friendly event that won't cost you an arm and a leg! Plenty of free parking around the event and on the side streets west of Western Ave. (Greenwood Ave is no parking until 7 pm)
