Music Director Pamela Mindell and the Cambridge Community Chorus present Mendelssohn's ELIJAH, one of the great dramatic works of the choral repertoire. Baritone Thomas Jones sings the title role.
Mendelssohn's dramatic version of the life of the Biblical prophet Elijah has been a favorite of audiences all over the world since its first performance in England in 1846. The 130-plus Cambridge Community Chorus is joined in this performance by a professional orchestra and critically-acclaimed soloists: soprano Rachele Schmiege, mezzo-soprano Christina English, tenor Stefan Barner and baritone Thomas Jones in the title role of Elijah.
