Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Daventry November 2018

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at various venues all over the country, is excited to announce the launch of their brand new comedy night at Daventry Town Football Club.

Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as "among the best anywhere in the world."

Headlining the night is musical stand-up Richard Morton, who has supported Jack Dee, Lee Evans, Jo Brand, Lily Savage and Phill Jupitus on tour as well as having many TV credits to his name. This livewire Geordie comic is full of surprises and frantic energy, bounding around the stage like an overgrown child on a massive sugar rush and then entertaining the crowd with his riotous songs.

Supporting will be Stuart Mitchell. After winning The Leicester Comedy Festival New Act of The Year Competition in 2010 he went on to appear on TV in 'Frank Skinner's Opinionated', where he received a standing ovation from the panel members. His clever and cynical material is both hilarious and inspirational.

Also appearing will be winner of Amused Moose Laugh Off at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe and runner up in The Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2016, George Lewis. This gentle, charming, lover of language and words enchants his audience with his perceptive and rebellious hilarity. His geeky confidence keeps them hanging on to every word.
