The RIBA Colin Rowe Lectures Series welcomes architectural historian and photographer Tim Benton, a noted scholar of the works of Le Corbusier, to discuss the role of the image in architecture.

The first in a series of Colin Rowe Lectures for 2018 will be delivered by architectural historian and photographer Tim Benton, a noted scholar of the works of Le Corbusier who has acted as associate curator in exhibitions such as 'Art and Power' at the Hayward Gallery, 'Art Deco 1910-1939' at the V&A, and 'Modern Taste: Art Deco in Paris 1910-1935' at Fundación Juan March in Madrid.

The lecture will be convened by Marco Iuliano (University of Liverpool) and Valeria Carullo (RIBA).

The Colin Rowe Lectures aim to discuss the role of the image in architecture, particularly the crucial role of architectural photography. The lectures are considered as an open forum of discussion for architects, photographers, students and the simply curious.

The lectures are a collaboration between the Centre for Architecture and Visual Arts at the University of Liverpool and the Robert Elwall Photographs Collection at the RIBA.
