Scoops - Live Improvised Comedy Show

The improvised comedy show is back! Join us each month in the Grand Central's beautiful Nightingale Room for scoops and scoops of silliness!

Every show displays the talents of a brand new collection of brilliant improvisers all eager to spin your suggestions into comedy gold and make themselves look utterly ridiculous for your entertainment. And if the acts inspire you with an urge to try improv for yourself, you’re in luck – the night ends with an open jam in which members of the audience can jump up and flex their improv skills, all skilfully presided over by experienced improvisers who will use every trick in the book to make sure you feel safe and look brilliant.

If you’re curious to see the latest acts Brighton’s thriving improv scene has to offer, Scoops is the show to see, with brand new troupes often performing for the first time alongside more experienced acts. On the bill this month:

Ben, Simon & Ric – The regular Scoops opening act will be kicking off the show in their usual madcap style.

Assimilate Improv - An improvisation duo made up of Lela Stepgood and Josh Hards. They love science fiction, fantasy and slow burn horror. At the heart of their spontaneous drama are characters with heart trying to survive as best they can in their weird worlds.

Simon Topping – One man, lots of laughs!

Plus Support - Presents [Town To Be Confirmed], an improvised comedy show set in a fictional town just like the one we so happen to be in.
