Singin' & Swingin'

The award-winning Vocal Jazz Program at Hutchinson Community College will present their first major concert this semester at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 20th, 2020 at the Stringer Fine Arts Center

If you want to wrap your ears around some really great and captivating vocal harmonic writing, this will be the place to be! This first major concert of the second semester is usually around Valentine’s weekend. This year, because of scheduling conflicts, it is just a week later. Not to fear! There are plenty of songs about LOVE in the sets!

We always program an incredibly wide variety of literature on our concerts. This will be no exception. You want swing tunes, Motown, a samba, or “The Great American Songbook”? We have it! Stevie Wonder, Cole Porter, or Sting? We got that too! The programing also includes charts arranged by Phil Mattson, Kerry Marsh, Darmon Meader, Amanda Taylor, & Steve Zegree.
