Nest by Lulu Popplewell

‘Nest’ is based on Lulu’s own experiences in a London psych and rehab ward in her early 20s. This is a comedy about the dysfunctional family she adopted there, and the absurdity that you can find in the darkest of circumstances. ‘Nest’ was partially developed by BBC comedy and has attracted interest from Objective Media Group. The table read cast includes comedians Lou Sanders and Rich Wilson.

Catapult by Maddie Campion

A 30 minute sitcom. Lucy is a 29-year-old ‘up-and-coming’ stand-up who is suddenly forced to move in with her sweet-but-weird sister Maude, and her actress/stoner flatmate Nora. The script (as ‘Leaning’) was in the top 17%
of over 2600 scripts received in BBC Writersroom Comedy 2017 and a redrafted version will be read by wonderfully talented people including Kelly Convey, Anne Klein, Patrick Spicer, Huge Davies and Darren Harriott.

A special TBC guest stand-up will also appear on the bill completing what we think will be a perfect Sunday afternoon to precede your roast dinner!
