I strongly urge you to proceed with extreme caution regarding Al-Ghanim Bilingual School. Many of us are leaving this year, and there are reasons for our departure. Research the school.

There is vast difference b/w Calagry & Kuwait, both business weather impact on self and its impact on business. You will be lucky if seated and dealt with good, educated , cultured Kuwaiti class, if not, a day you will be returning back.

moving to kuwait is a BIG decision, especially if you have family here. i moved back here because i am originally from here.to be honest i wish i thought hard and rationally about it before i came here.

i hope you the best in coming here. but some advice from a person that went through this. i say if you are coming here just for your family, think long and hard before you come.

most relatives think you are living outside in what they call "ghurba", like when you come to kuwait your finally "home".
they dont get this is a foreign country for you, kuwaitis are nice, but they mostly dont get this will be new to you. as long as your coming here, you have to take the family out of the equation, it will save you alot of heart ache to not depend on them for social security.
and your doing something good already not relying on them for job search and looking for a job before you come.
i wish i thought about that before parking my self in kuwait :D

good luck and if you have any question feel free to ask

Yes I agree shipping to kuwait can be confusing. Checkout http://urelocation.com/shipping.to.kuwait . and they also have a short video about shipping to kuwait http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTMIhYbZPSk . Good luck.

Due to class and bedoin , no bedouin, sayeds or non-sayeds, persian or arab classification, youth and educated Kuwaitis found hard to live with such values but again they can't adapt western culture easily. Dewan al Wazzaif (HR) recruits for Government Jobs.
Best is to serve for British School in Salwa and live close to Market, so that you don't need to drive in rush hours.
I know both positive/ negative aspect of Kuwaiti Society, feel free to drop reply here and email or question.

    Hey answers are:

    - KD 1,500 is a good salary to live comfortably
    - For Rent areas like Salmiya, Mehboula, Salwa, Fahaheel are good but depends what suits you. For example what is closer to your workplace.
