Family Visit Visa to iQama - Husband to sponsor

My husband has just been issued with a 5 year iqama. I am here on a family visit visa. I am returning home next week. Is it possible for my husband to sponsor me for an iqama and, if yes, how do we go about this? Do we do it here in Saudi or must I return home first?

  Hello. I believe your husband has to apply for a new permanent resident visa that you have to endorse from a Saudi Embassy in your country.
