Comedy Crash Course 11 - 16 Year Olds
Our one-week Comedy Crash Course for young beginners aged 11 – 16 – all genders welcome!
Plans for half term? Bored teenagers on your hands who think they're funnier than you?
We've launched a unique half term activity for young people aged 11 to 16 designed to keep them occupied for at least an hour every day for a week. This course is a fun, safe, immersive online experience to build their confidence, explore creativity and help them perform.
They will learn about creating characters, improvisation, musical comedy and come away with some invaluable performance skills. They may even be funnier than you!
Facilitated by four of the industry's experts in comedy and performance, this course provides tailored tips and advice to help the next generation of comedy performers and writers communicate more freely by creating content with their peers.
Sally Holloway is the author of The Serious Guide to Joke Writing and in the eleven years she was on the comedy circuit, Sally was one of Britain's top female comics. Sally will be using these skills to teach how to write innovative jokes.
Ali H from the Short and Girlie Show will be bringing games, improvisation and fun fun fun! The Short and Girlie Show are regulars on the LGBT scene, this multi-award winning troupe of women perform a variety of comedy styles for enjoyment by a mixed audience.
Jill Coombs is an actress, clown, presenter and teacher. She has been teaching drama to all ages, globally for over 20 years and is an expert in her field. Jill will walk you through the physicalities of performance whilst building your confidence skills.
