Future Creativity at Rutland Mills

A free day of talks, panels and networking for all creatives. Theme: the regeneration of Rutland Mills as Tileyard Wakefield and the emergence of Wakefield as a centre of creative excellence.

On Wednesday 20 September at The Hepworth, Tileyard Studios and Tileyard Education are hosting a free one-day event featuring panels, talks and industry networking designed to bring together creative professionals and companies across Wakefield and Yorkshire.

Tileyard Studios, based in King’s Cross in London, is the largest professional music and entertainment community in Europe, housing 82 custom designed recording studios, 120 music and entertainment businesses and more than 1,200 creative professionals and entrepreneurs including Mark Ronson, The Prodigy, Lily Allen, John Newman, Notting Hill Music, Maverick, Spitfire Audio and many more.

Most recently Tileyard Education has launch a suite of one-year, full-time MA programmes and short courses in songwriting, production and entertainment business.

Parent company, City and Provincial Properties has acquired Rutland Mills, Wakefield to create Tileyard North as a professional creative community representing music, film, TV, design, new media and indeed all facets of the commercial creative sectors.
