Spain’s most premium beer, Estrella Galicia announces a one off ‘Little Galicia’ takeover at Ricci’s Tapas at 53 Degrees North, Leeds
JULY 20th 2017. To celebrate their commitment to being at the forefront of the UK drinking experience, Estrella Galicia has partnered with Ricci’s Tapas at 53 Degrees North in Leeds to create a premium and bespoke food and beer pairing menu.
This Galician experience, known as “Little Galicia”, will bring together the culture, history and quality of Estrella Galicia beer together with fantastic food. As Spain’s most premium beer, export to the UK began in 2012 and has enjoyed a steady and popular growth as Spain’s premium lager and the “people’s favourite beer” and is now available to consumers in premium hot spots across the UK.
Ricci’s Tapas at 53 Degrees North is a unique restaurant, bar and late lounge; it is passionate about creating exceptional, food, drinks and experiences. 53 Degrees North was the first in the UK to serve Estrella Galicia 1906 Reserva Especial on draught; a dark amber lager with balanced smoothness and a bitter touch, making it the perfect place to host the first “Little Galicia” food and beer pairing event which will be touring the UK in 2017.
Owner of 53 Degrees North, Michael Ricci, along with Estrella Galicia’s Master Brewer have devised a premium sharing menu that will be complimented by various beers from the award winning Spanish brewery. The dinner will start with a welcome drink of Estrella Galicia Premium followed by a 4-course tapas style menu paired with Estrella Galicia 0.0%, Estrella Galicia Premium, 1906 Reserva and the brewery’s latest edition to the family - the 1906 Black Coupage.
Michael Ricci and Estrella Galicia’s UK Brand Manager will be on hand during the evening to share industry insights and pointers on how to pair food with beer.
