I believe Gf/Bf are more close to each other!.. n more open, sharing their inner thoughts and have a long lastin relationship!
Where else on the other hand a Simple friend is the one who you can hang out with but cannot share your close feelings neither he cud understand as he wont be close enough to you!

well i agree with u in a way but :
for example when we travel in a bus or something and meet someone and say hi and spk some things we cant call such type as friends
but ppl u meet everyday like supermarket / grocery / mall staff who u spk hi and bye .. also some of the ppl in ur workplace, educational institution who u get to deal with .. they can be catagorised as simple friends... such ppl help u when u need and do not cause u any harm or negatives... but REALLY THEY ARE NOT THE KIND OF EMERGENCY HELP U REQUIRE during pressure or painful situations which sadly arise in all ppls life at certain occasion...

GF stands for Good friend = meaning a friend who might not express their emotions of love and closeless to you explictly but who will be standing by with u in ur good and bad times. Especially GF's stand shoulder to shoulder with you in your bad times. Such ppl are catagorised as Good friends
BF stands for Bad Friend = meaning a friend who will be showing u lots of attention and love in your good and rosy times but when bad times come they are no where in the picture and seem awfully helpless
Simple friend = is one who is just in your life for the Hi and Bye. They can be catagorised as people who you might see everyday or just someone you know.
