1000 Main Street, Williamstown, Massachusetts 01267, United States Map

Ronald K. Brown / EVIDENCE is thrilled to return to the ’62 Center stage with a program that will include fresh critically acclaimed works "The Equality of Night and Day" (TEND) with a commissioned score by Jason Moran, spoken word by Angela Davis and photo curation by Deb Willis; "Open Door," a hot Afro-Cuban offering, set to a score by Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro-Latin jazz ensemble, that was originally set on the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.

"Upside Down" is an excerpt from the evening-length work Destiny. The full evening work was created in collaboration with Rokiya Kone of the Ivory Coast and her company Jeune Ballet d’ Afrique Noire, and premiered at Aaron Davis Hall in June 1998.

Special thanks to The Joyce Theater Foundation for their support of Ronald K. Brown / EVIDENCE.
