On January 26th, 2019, the Az-Zahraa Islamic Centre will be opening its doors for the eighth annual A Journey Into Islam exhibition and open house! Join us for a free gala dinner and an interactive evening with your local Muslim community.

A Journey Into Islam is an initiative undertaken by the youth of the Az-Zahraa Islamic Centre, designed to convey the core beliefs and practices of the Islamic faith in an engaging and comprehensible manner. We aim to create a comfortable environment in which guests are welcome to ask questions and establish fruitful dialogue with members of our community. 

The goal of the event is to showcase our faith through an evening full of interactive exhibits, guided tours of our beautiful Centre filled with Islamic history and artifacts, and a tasty gala-style dinner. The exhibits are designed to address various elements of our faith and to clear long-standing misconceptions regarding Islam.

The theme of this year's event is 'Women in Islam.' Women have historically played a critical role in the development and expansion of the religion of Islam, and continue to play an ever-important role in Islamic society today. This year, we hope to explore crucial role of Women in Islam, from the inception of the faith all the way to modern times. We look forward to having you join us!
