Cowboy Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Awardee Michael Martin Murphey launched his solo recording career from Austin in the early 70s with the classic album Geronimo's Cadillac. He went on to release multiple albums in the 70s culminating with his seminal certified Gold Album, Blue Sky-Night Thunder which included the Certified Platinum classic single "Wildfire," a sentimental song about the ghosts of a woman and her horse, selling more than two-million copies in the USA
