Hi everyone...I have a job offer in Libya..could anyone please advise me how's Libya in terms of banking (remmitance system), telecommunication (internet), transportation, cost of living, weather (of course it's hot..it's extremely hot?), and the locals..THANKS...HAVE A GOOD DAY !!!

  ..and not to forget, the backup service is exceptional: you lose a tel number you dialed a month ago? no problem: just ask anyone who has a friend in the telephone company. or in case you lost your access to your local bank, again anyone who has a friend in the bank will provide you with the details of your balance or transfers...

  Internet is of high quality, easily available through wireless system, call wiMax, and costs 40 LD or about 33 US$

  This is Yiannis. I am a Greek Cypriot and I have moved recently from UAE to Libya although my initial hesitation.

  Libya in general is better than what you might expect, especially if you have a good job and some friends.

  The weather is PERFECT, no comparison with UAE and Guld countries

  There are some drawbacks such as the banking services and other services but that come be manageg.
  Especially if can be paid in trax free acount outside the country then there are no problems. Otherwise you allow up to 5000 dollars per yr to send outside the country as I understand.
  Transportation is usually by taxi (available at any moment) and the cost is not that much.

  Accommodation can be an issue, especially good one
