Possibly intending to relocate to The Azores or Portugal

Hello..

I am from the U.S. and seriously considering a move to either The Azores ot mainland Portugal when I retire in about 2 years. Just looking for advice , opinions , ect. I don't speak, read or write Portuguese. I have located a few Portuguese tutors.. but they are expensive. Just trying to get some feedback.. opinions.. advice on anything relating to this.
