It's that time of year already! …. come out and get a head start on your holiday shopping, enjoy delicious food, baked goods, unique shopping and Gemütlichkeit!. Event will be held RAIN or SHINE. There is NO ENTRY FEE and PARKING IS FREE!

Germania of Poughkeepsie, founded 1850, is a benevolent, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to promoting German Culture and Heritage, hosting various events throughout the year including Maifest, Oktoberfest, Christkindlmarkt, Biergartens, and Heritage Day Bake Sale.

Over the past 171 years Germania has supported educational programs in music, language, sport, dance, and citizenship. Germania sponsors numerous "Sister Clubs" and promotes many cultural programs. These include the Germania Singers, Germania Almrausch Schuhplattler Verein, the Steuben Society of America (Dr. Charles Gilbert Spross Unit #167) and the Germania Blue and White Soccer Club. Germania also sponsors German Language Classes, Ballroom Dancing Classes, and a Volksmarch Club.

Germania is a private club, actively looking to increase membership, along with Club Sponsorship, Event Vendors, and Donations. Enrollment is open to individuals of all faiths and backgrounds.
