The Great Big Green Week is a national celebration of community action to tackle climate change and protect nature.

This year our event will focus on the theme ‘Norfolk’s Healthy Environment’, encompassing four aspects: Land, Air, Water and Urban. On Saturday June 10th 10am - 4pm we will have an exciting selection of stands outside The Forum representing organisations involved in maintaining and celebrating Norfolk’s environment. Find out what YOU can do to help your local environment, protect green spaces and tackle climate change.

Alongside this we will also be hosting a series of short talks followed by a panel discussion hosted by Dr Hayley Pinto inside St Peter Mancroft Church (opposite The Forum) 2.30 - 4pm. The talks will each cover one of our four environmental aspects: Land, Air, Water and Urban.

Events Schedule:
2:30PM LAND: “Community Climate Action: Land and Growing Community Resilience” by Joolz Thompson, iFarm
2:45PM AIR: “A breath of fresh air?” by Prof. Claire Reeves, UEA and DEFRA
3:00PM WATER: “Why Is Norfolk's Water Precious?” by Tim Fisher, Norfolk Rivers Trust
3:15PM URBAN: “A city in an orchard or an orchard in a city?” Healthy urban environments in the 21st century. by Dr Noel Longhurst, UEA
3:30PM PANEL DISCUSSION Chaired by Dr Hayley Pinto, The Centre For Sustainable Healthcare.

All are welcome to attend.

We hope that you will join us to show your support for a safer, greener future. Together we will call on politicians to take rapid action to tackle climate change and protect nature.
