Japanese American interested in working in Serbia....

Geplaatst in Servië forum

Hi everyone,

My name is Mike. I live in Tokyo, Japan and have been giving English lessons for over a year now. I also visited Serbia twice this year and am interested to know how difficult it is to get a job there. What opportunities may be able for me? Can anybody give me some advice? Thanks

Thank you very much for your help! I was also wondering if there are any universities in Serbia that have courses instructed in English. I know there is the NYU of Belgrade, but are there any others?
    Thanks again!

There are occasional jobs advertised in Serbia (also in Bosnia-Herzegovina). But these are few and far between. The pay is more often than not terrible, barely enough to cover accomodation and food. At the minute, there is one job advertised in Montenegro at www.tefl.com, but at a centre with an appalling reputation. I believe it is the only English school in the country, based in Podgorica. I have never seen anything advertised in Croatia, but that is not to say that you won't find something if you look around hard enough.
