I'm currently living in Barcelona, and I've met quite a few British expats, as well as a ton of Spaniards. I was wondering who makes a better boyfriend - a Brit or a Spaniard? Although they don't look like much, I think Brits make a better boyfriend, mostly because there is more room for communication and we had a shared history in the very distant past.
What do others think?

i also agree that it depends mainly how you are getting with the specific person
for example i knew this one Czech lady who married an American, they once invited me home to give them language classes and she spoke to him in a Czech-English mixture (but mainly using Czech) and he always answered in English and they were getting along wonderfully, having a little baby and everything just fine

hahaha, did I understand it right that you would prefer to date Brits because you could talk about the Boston Tea Party with them?
Don't throw all Spaniards into one box, actually more and more people are speaking quite good level of english, if this is what you worry about :-p
My advice would be: forget about the nationalities, afterall it's just a word written in your passport.
