Pickle Jar Presents Hrishikesh Mukherjee Film Festival From Dec 2-4, 2016

Pickle Jar - a Bangalore based community-led effort, is organising a three-day Hrishikesh Mukherjee film festival showcasing 13 of the finest Hrishida movies on 2, 3 & 4 December. The movies will be screened at two venues which are the cultural nerve centres of Bangalore, viz., the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) and Suchitra Film Society.

Hrishida created his own niche of film-making which today is referred to as the ‘Middle-Cinema’ - a style that is a confluence of commercially appealing stories packaged in a parallel cinematic art form.

Renowned actor, director Amol Palekar, who starred in many of Hrishida's comedies including the blockbuster Golmaal, has agreed to be a part of this festival. Vikas Bahl, New age Director of Queen Fame will be opening the festival on December 2nd.
