Teshay Makeda, whose name means ‘Queen of the Sun', is a South London born singer-songwriter and remarkable talent. With her live performances now winning acclaim and love from audiences at both venues and festivals alike, Teshay has rightly earned the title of 'The New Empress of Roots and Soul'.

Her self titled debut EP led to performances at The Albany, The Old Vic, Lambeth Country Show, and the Rototom Sunsplash Festival.

Her latest single OMG received airplay from reggae pioneer David Rodigan on BBC 1Xtra and is an exciting taster of what is to come from her forthcoming EP, exploring the devine feminine, roots and soul.
