I faced many difficulties in my visa. i prepare everything neat & clear but they refuse my visa.
on that time i was feel bad. :-(because i wish to go there...!

Every year we have many friends from France who visit and stay with host families in our village. We love to speak French with them and of course help them with their English.

im from china and they give us an impression of romantic country in which people are open and romanticand gentle,and good food and nice building too,btw,i like french but i don't think im going to learn it coz it's knida easy to mess french and english uplol

Just joined this site and thought I might put my 2 cents here...
I have been to many countries which english is not the first language, and I even lived in one before ( Zurich ). But I must admit that I do have more " challenge " with people in French...With my experience living in Paris for 8 months, I probably have met not enough people to conclude on something. But yes, I am afraid I will have to go with Julia...These French may not speaking English very well and they have every right to keep speaking in their language, its their country, anyway..:) But what's the worst turn off is that even their body language were not so "friendly" to people who don't speak the language..But I am sure, there are more people out there who are welcoming and friendly and warm and patient to listen to my broken French....!! I am hoping when I 'm back in Paris in 7 weeks time, I am going to meet these people and thus shaping up my French so French people do not need to show me their 'obnoxious' body language anymore :) ! OK speedy! Too bad you are only interested in speed.
I didn't know you were so important that a few minutes waiting upsets you.Here is what is good about writing checks: In France, you can take someone's check because you know 99 times out of a 100 the check is good. Not so in the USA! The banksters don't want you to write checks, so soon, instead of that, you will be charged even more for using your debt card. I sincerely hope this will make you happy.

The most common conversation starter when you meet someone...anyone, whether for business, or with friends is, "Do you miss your country (in my case US)?"
First of all, word of advice; unless you want to play 'psychologist' for the evening, please don't ever ask that question to anybody who moved within the past year to a foreign country....the answer is YES!
So, let's go to the second scenario.
You're talking to someone who has been around for at the very least a year. Unless they fled the country for a specific reason (and in that case you would probably know about it and thus would not have to ask the question in the first place), the answer is pretty simple - yes and no.
I never really answer the question completely because frankly I'm bored of being asked.So, here's my real answer:
Yes, I miss certain aspects of life in the States and there are also things that I don't miss.
I miss bagels, going to the supermarket at midnight, not sounding strange (accent) when speaking...oh and I miss cream cheese.
I miss having my friends I grew up with around me, the spontaneity of Americans...I don't miss - running shoes and kaki cargo pants representing a 'fashion staple for men', restaurant chains sprouting up every 100 feet, the AC blasting in every building, huge servings of food, having to drive everywhere (unless you live in a city of course). I don't miss the sameness of everything. I miss Bed Bath and Beyond (actually, no I don't), I miss 8$ manicures and walk-in nail appointments, I miss HUGE supermarkets, and motorcycles that drive within the lane and not between two. I miss stores being open on Sunday, making life easier for anybody who works. I don't miss bad food (except for Dunkin Donuts - yummy) or bad wine (unless you buy the expensive stuff), but I do miss getting great coffee to go in any place and on every block. Oh, and I miss kinkos. Why doesn't France have a store like that? I don't miss the diluted coffee is in the States, nor the fact that it's nearly impossible to find a nice place outside where you can sit down and enjoy a cup of diluted coffee. I did miss Doritos and (kind of good) maple syrup but halleluiah you can now find them in your local supermarket in France! I miss being able to talk loud in a public place without getting stared at and being able to take children out to a restaurant. I don't miss going to restaurants and having to listen to screaming (though very adorable) kids. I miss volunteering, sarcasm (or people understanding sarcasm), and great TV shows. I don't miss eating fast oh but I do miss being able to eat a quick lunch over vacation. I miss straight to the point meetings, but I don't miss the lack of vacation days in the States. I don't miss i-phones, because they have them here...and that's what I'm using to write this. Ok. I'm getting bored here.
What I hate most about the French

There is no freedom in France. Everything is decided by the top of the hierarchy, and done to make sure they profit at everyone else's expense.
Mostly, I hate that there is no customer service in France.
They do nothing that is not profitable to themselves, no matter how terrible the service. If they show up, even if they don't do anything, they want to be paid.
I also don't like it when a service or product is defective, and they won't take it back and give you credit.One day I went into Nicholas wine store to buy 2 cases of wine for a party that evening.
They took my credit card and charged it, and then went into the back to get the wine.
They said they didn't have the wine, and that it would be here in 2 weeks.
I asked for my money back. They said no. I said if you don't, you don 't want to know what I will do. Only then, did they credit my credit card.So true!

As a lawyer, I read every day about the laws and how they are changing. Since I arrived in France, the laws are more American everyday. So if you like America, you will love France more as they have health care, public transportation, fast internet, free international phone calls, nearly free university education, and people with lifetime contracts of employment along with vacations. Even the children get handouts by the state called "money allowances"
and women get paid to become pregnant.
France also pays all the pensions, so there are no "Enrons" in France. All the best!
