Dear Dory Jade..
I am mexican and I already applied for a work permit under the Live-in Caregiver program, i found a family since December, 2012. The thing is that average time to get a TVR and WP is 6-8 weeks but because of the strike its taking a LOT of time... i applied since April 16th and its almost July and i still havent gotten an answer from the Embassy.. i have called and emailed them and all I get is that my application is still in process.. Do you have any info regarding the strike?? or is there a way i could speed up the process or something?!?! its been 6 months since the process started and i dont want the family to give up on me because its taking so long! What could I do at this point?
