British Street artist D*Face has teamed up with iconic lighter brand Zippo to create an 11m x 7m bespoke mural in London’s King’s Cross as part of the inaugural London Mural Festival. The mural is just steps away from St Pancras station for Londoners to get their street art fix for the remainder of September.

The large scale artwork features a new take on one of D*Face’s iconic “Stripe” motifs. A subversive self-portrait of sorts, that combines pop-media and imagery, not only as a satirical comment on content consumption in the 21st century but as a nod to Zippo’s iconic pop culture status and commitment to individual expression.

D*Face was selected by Zippo to create a unique mural due to his subversive take on pop culture, his strong stand against throwaway culture and his big & bold designs. A personality and personal ethos synonymous with the Zippo brand.

The London Mural Festival celebrates creative communities, presenting London as a canvas, with numerous walls painted across the Capital by street artists from around the world, until the end of the month.
