Funhouse Comedy Club - Comedy Night in Nottingham Feb 2018

NEW COMEDY NIGHT IN NOTTINGHAM

Funhouse Comedy Club, which already runs successful nights at various venues all over the country, is excited to announce the launch of their brand new comedy night at The Rescue Rooms, Nottingham.

In 2003 when the Rescue Rooms opened, it hosted a comedy night in its first year. Acts that appeared then, before they became famous included Russell Howard and Micky Flanagan. As part of the venue's 15 anniversary celebrations, comedy is back with the next wave of future comedy stars.

Funhouse Comedy Clubs are renowned for having exceptionally friendly audiences and a brilliant atmosphere which have led to twice winning Best Midlands Comedy Club awards with leading comedy website Chortle. Previous acts to have played its clubs on their road to fame and fortune include Sarah Millican, Russell Kane, Jack Whitehall and Rhod Gilbert, who described the clubs as “among the best anywhere in the world.”

Headlining the launch is the intelligent, fast fire Rob Mulholland with his sarcasm and clever annotations. Having performed his debut show at The Edinburgh Festival last year and appearing as the character ‘Death’ in Gary Delaney’s comedy panel show ‘Panelbeaters’, he has plenty more tales to tell.

Also appearing will be the very funny self-deprecating Richard Massara who has a wicked sense of humour and the delightfully quirky Jem Braithwaite with his intelligent and unusual material.

Compere for the night is half Scottish half Filipino Rik Carranza, who has wealth of funny stories.
