Hannah Bonecutter, actress, writer, producer and Chicago native to release her groundbreaking independent film!

The star of multi-talented entrepreneur Hannah Bonecutter continues to
rise with the release of her highly anticipated independent film, Minstrel vs. Puppet.

"MVP" as it's known in the cinematic community has already garnered critical acclaim and award consideration. According to Bonecutter, "There are certain avenues of the film industry that neglect to tell the compelling stories of women and minorities. I think our team did a fantastic job of sharing a story that's not only captivating, but will foster long overdue dialogue."

In short, Minstrel vs. Puppet creatively explores the internal conflict many women, particularly women of color, experience as they juggle the complicated aspects of beauty, intelligence, and social acceptance.
From the viewpoint of two different women, MVP skillfully illustrates how this internal conflict can manifest externally.

Bonecutter adds, "I wanted to create a film that addresses the myriad of social factors that influence the way women see and characterize themselves. Today, women are business owners, governmental leaders, and much more. As a result, the way we view ourselves now is infinitely
more complex than when our only options were a maid or housewife."

A staple in the Chicago community, Hannah Bonecutter has created a film that has been shown in more than 20 film festivals around the world, including Germany, Amsterdam, Canada, the United States, and even France at the renowned Cannes Film Festival.

Minstrel vs. Puppet has won several judges awards, including the Outstanding U.S.Narrative Award at the D.C. Shorts Film Festival, as well as the Award of Merit from the Best Shorts Competition.
