Monologues For The Brave
The Actor's Foundry is a world-wide renown acting school and it's hosting an online monologue contest in an effort to bring our creative community together and honour our front-line healthcare workers. Here's How to Submit!
Step 1. Donate to your Major City Hospital and screenshot your receipt. This will be your entry ticket for the monologue contest! Please Note that you can have other people sponsor you by donating in their name for your submission. Please find the donation websites at www.actorsfoundry.com/bravemonologues located near the bottom of the page :)
Step 2. Film your Monologue! These monologues are in honour of our Healthcare Workers and MUST BE about health care workers, doctors, nurses, paramedics, senior caregivers, grocery workers, and others who are on the front lines. Monologues can be from theatre, film, television, or you can even create a monologue! Please slate with your name, location, and label the files accordingly. (Ex. Vancouver General Hospital Receipt.jpg, Nurses Monologue.mp4,)
Step 3. Upload your monologue to Vimeo, Youtube, or Google Drive and email the shared link to email@example.com . Please include your First Name, Last Name and Location in the Subject Line (Ex. Matthew Harrison, Vancouver). ALSO, ensure that the link can be seen by anyone who has it and that the receipt is attached to the email. *Submission without a donation receipt will NOT be reviewed*
The Monologue submissions will be reviewed by The Actor's Foundry Committee and the Top 50 submissions will be sent to acting teacher Matthew Harrison.
Matthew will pick the Top 15 monologues and these actors will have their work promoted and published on The Actor's Foundry social media pages!
