A musical play by Dan Furman tells the story of Joe Hill, a songwriter and activist who was a part of the fascinating Industrial Workers of the World union in the early 1900s. Unjustly framed by police, he was executed by a firing squad in Utah in 1915. This musical blends Joe Hill's work from over 100 years ago with the sounds and struggles of today's working folks. Book and original music by Dan Furman. Lyrics by Dan Furman, Joe Hill, and others. Performed by players of the Brooklyn Tavern Theater.
