Debose National Piano Competition

The mission is to serve as an arts advocacy organization by providing an Annual National Piano Competition at Southern University - DeBose Music Hall, featuring Performances at Scotlandville Magnet School Auditorium. The goals are to provide: (a) enrichment to existing school, studio and community programs; (b) interactive experiences that discover talent and motivate creativity; (c) venues for pre-professionals in Classical Piano Performance: Solo and Duet Repertoire. Level Designations are: Standard, "Late-Starters", and Accelerated talent levels. Grades: First through Twelfth.
