Giving Tour: Donation Drop Off

It’s time for giving and Tracy Janczak of The Movement FLX in collaboration with Kate Wheeler of Crescent Trail Pilates are teaming up once again. This time they are going on tour - a GIVING TOUR - collecting donations of non-perishable food for The Center of Concern in Geneva (https://genevacenterofconcern.org) and cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products for Refugees Helping Refugees in Rochester (https://rhrroc.org) offering contactless drop off locations in Rochester and Canandaigua over two days with the support of partnering businesses Alliance Advisory Group of Rochester (https://www.allianceadvisorygroup.com/p/rochester) and Flowers By Stella, Canandaigua. (https://www.flowersbystella.com).

The Movement FLX 28-foot custom trailer was designed to offer mobile Pilates but is taking to the road again to raise awareness and collect donations for neighbors in need. Now is when we are all thinking of our neighbors because it is the holidays, but according to Cheryl Toor, Director of Center of Concern, it is after the holidays that they need us most. It is our goal to help them stock their pantry shelves for the leaner times after the holidays and into the winter months. Especially this year when the need is so great. Urgently needed items include hearty soups, pasta sauce, pasta (spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, shells, etc.), ravioli, canned meats (chicken, tuna in water, ham) peanut butter and jelly, canned fruits, juice, pork and beans, all canned beans.

Refugees helping Refugees is a community-based, refugee-led organization in Rochester, NY. Their mission is to foster the growth, self-determination, and self-reliance of refugees in our city and county.
