Italian American Bocce Club Hosts Lena Prima

New Orleans’ own award-winning singer, artist and author, Lena Prima, is teaming up with the Italian American Bocce Club on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 7 p.m.

Prima will sing selections from her latest, Top 10 Billboard Jazz Album, “Prima La Famiglia.”
In addition, local restaurants will provide food and drink for the event. This family-friendly event will include bocce play and other exciting games of skill. Proceeds from the event will benefit ongoing maintenance needs of the club. Tickets can be purchased on the website in advance or at the door. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door

The Italian American Bocce Club is the only remaining bocce club in Louisiana and a place for celebration of Italian American culture in the state. The indoor facility is home to three full-sized bocce courts, a game room and banquet area. The facility was damaged in Katrina and repairs to the building are ongoing. The club is located at 2340 Severn Avenue, Metairie.
