Trip To The Wine Harvest 2014 (Saturday 11 – Sunday 12 of October)

An unforgettable weekend: the wine, from vine to the bottle; traditional cooking workshop; local festivals; surprises and a lot of fun around the area of Arribes del Duero and Toro (Zamora)

ITINERARY:

Saturday, October 11: Madrid – Fermoselle (Zamora)
Departure at 8:00 from Glorieta de Atocha (next to the Ministry of Agriculture – Paseo de la Infanta Isabel 3) towards Zamoran lands. Once in Fermoselle, our wine harvest will start and we shall also enjoy a nice country meal: we will be picking up the grapes and then placing them into the special place where we will stamp them until they are smashed while traditional music sounds; like this we will do our own special wine (about which we will keep you informed until one day we will give you a couple of bottles). After a deserved rest, we will attend a cooking workshop. In the evening, typical dinner, party and accommodation in Fermoselle.

Sunday, October 12: Fermoselle – Toro - Madrid
After breakfast, around 10 am, we will go to the lovely town of Toro, which boils with people & party due to the celebrations of the harvest, including a medieval market, an outstanding parade of traditional harvest chariots and outfits and some other surprises.
